Common questions
My widget looks empty or won’t update
Open the app once and make sure you granted Calendar and Reminders access (and Location, if you want weather). The widget refreshes as events start and end, and about every 20 minutes for weather. If it’s still empty, remove the widget and add it again.
Some of my calendars aren’t showing in Day Glance Pro
Day Glance Pro shows the calendars that are visible in your device’s built-in Calendar app — so if one’s missing, it’s almost always hidden there or its account isn’t added yet. On iOS:
- Open the built-in Calendar app and tap Calendars at the bottom. Make sure every calendar you want is ticked — anything unticked here is hidden from Day Glance Pro too.
- Still missing? The account may not be on your phone yet. Go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account, and add the account that holds the calendar (Google, Microsoft, iCloud and more).
- For Google or Outlook accounts, also confirm that specific calendar is set to sync (see the Google and Microsoft questions above).
- Back in Day Glance Pro → Settings → Calendars, tick the calendars you’d like to see. Day Glance Pro can show any calendar your phone has — this just lets you choose which.
I use Google Calendar — how do I see it in Day Glance Pro?
Day Glance Pro shows whatever calendars are already on your iPhone (and never sends them anywhere), so the one-time step is making sure your Google account is added to iOS:
- Open the iOS Settings app, tap Calendar, then Accounts. If you already see Gmail or your Google account listed, you’re set — jump to the last step.
- If it’s not there, tap Add Account → Google, then sign in with your Google email and password and approve any two-factor prompt.
- Back on the account’s screen, make sure the Calendars switch is turned on.
- Google only syncs your main calendar by default. To include shared or secondary calendars, open calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect in any browser, tick the calendars you want on your iPhone, and Save.
- Open Day Glance Pro → Settings → Calendars and tick the Google calendars you’d like to see. They’ll now appear on the widget, Today, Week — everywhere.
I use Microsoft 365 or Outlook — how do I see it in Day Glance Pro?
Same idea — add your Microsoft account to iOS and Day Glance Pro picks it up automatically, all on-device:
- Open the iOS Settings app, tap Calendar, then Accounts. If your Outlook or Microsoft 365 account is already listed, you’re set — jump to the last step.
- If it’s not there, tap Add Account. Choose Microsoft Exchange for a work or school Microsoft 365 account, or Outlook.com for a personal @outlook, @hotmail or @live address.
- Sign in, approve any security prompt, and when asked what to sync make sure Calendars is turned on.
- Open Day Glance Pro → Settings → Calendars and tick the Microsoft calendars you’d like to see. They’ll show up across the widget, Today, Week and more.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Your calendar, reminders and health data stay on your device. The only thing that leaves is your approximate location, sent to a weather service so Day Glance Pro can show your forecast — never tied to you or used for tracking.
My meeting alarms aren’t ringing
Break-through alarms need a device on iOS 26.1 or later with alarm permission granted, and the alarm time must be in the future. They ring full-screen, not as a banner. If a meeting is only a minute away, a longer lead time can’t fire in time.
What’s free, and what’s Day Glance Pro?
The widget — your day at a glance on the Home and Lock Screen — is free, forever. Day Glance Pro unlocks the full app: the Today, Week and Month views, a nightstand Display Mode, weather that follows your travel, and AI meeting notes on your calendar. It’s $2.99/month or $19.99/year. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes — Day Glance Pro is a universal app. One Day Glance Pro subscription covers both iPhone and iPad, and the widgets and screens adapt to the larger display.
